In this post I will be detailing and dating rules modifications so it's more easy than ever to keep up to date on changes.

[6/8/2016]

Additions:
- Attacks on spare bases can actively be defended against. Retribution on main bases due to losses from the attack, or defense of said spare bases is not allowed.
- The area in or around bonus bases are considered pvp zones. However KOS is still not permitted.

Modifications
- The murder of one of your tribes creatures.(Unless they are killed outside a KOS zone, or are caught around or were utelised to assist in the attack of a spare compound)
- The murder of one of your tribes members (Unless they are killed outside a KOS zone, or are caught in the act attacking a spare compound)

Additions:
Radios are required to communicate.
For IC Communication, go to channel 1 on your radios. The only people who can OOC chat in channel 1 are admins, and sheriffs. For pure OOC chat, go to channel 2.

Changed
- If you plan on contesting the drop. You must stand your ground and combat the person around the supply crate. However if the fight is too much, you can flee.
- You may shoot at the person as they fly away/flee. But you must fire from the area of where the supply crate is, or once was.

Added
- You may not snipe down at a supply crate from some nearby area, or from atop a quetzal way in the sky.
- You may not pick people up with birds and try and kill them by dropping them far away, or high in the sky.
- You may not kill a riderless dino if the rider is already dead. However if the creature is attacking you, or has turrets that are shooting at you, you may kill it in self defense.

Added:

- Bonus bases that are not protected within the rules can be deleted with administrative discretion. This isn't something that will happen often. But will be used to get rid of excessive structure spam
(To: No raiding undeserving tribes. Exceptions List)
Explanation:The structure spam is real right now... It's getting really bad. I'm seeing things getting spammed everywhere and it's getting really old. People need to look at their constant structure spam and consolodate. Think of the broader community and not just yourself. Obviously if these structures have a ton of materials and alot of stuff put into them like forges etc, I wont be deleting them. However constant walls everywhere. Leftover spike walls from tames. Extra bases with nothing in them. These will be removed more than likely. It wont happen often.

IE, name plates, structure plates, any any UI that gives you that information, like tribe logs.
(To: Please limit meta-gaming when it involves PvP or Raiding.)
Explanation:With the new tribe logs, this is to prevent any revenge actions based on small accidents or anything of the like. Tribe log responses are administrative only. You are not allowed to use them to dish out your own justice.

- Behemoth/Dino Gate Wall Spam should only be a temporary solution, and not a permanent one.
Bases with outer walls that are just dinosaur gates or behemoth gates should replace them with walls as soon as possible. It's an uncreative and ugly design, as well as a tryhard attempt at protection. Any bases with these long term will have their walls destroyed.
(To: The overall list)
Explanation:People are making their bases purely out of these designs and claiming large chunks of territories with these and it's getting out of hand. If you want alot of territory, cookie cutter mechanics aren't going to get you what you want. Claiming large amounts of territory should be hard.

KOS is also allowed in Caves. However there are conditions for this:
- Combat in Caves are anonymous and there are no reprocussions for it. Even if your logs tell you who killed you, you may NOT take revenge.  (If we feel as though this gets out of hand, we will add reprocussions)
- You may not camp the entrances of caves. However placing IED's and traps is totally fine.
- You may not engage in pvp in Caves with fliers in ANY fashion. Not even for if it's just for transport to jump off and engage on foot. If you do, that person can freely KOS you or your bird to defend themselves, but you cannot KOS them.
- You may not give chase to the individuals that flee outside of a cave. Once they make it outside, they are free from pursuit.
- If you have a base that is within 100 feet from a cave entrance and you constantly use it as a launching pad to attack people in the caves, it may be raided
- You may not kill a riderless dino if the rider is already dead. However if the creature is attacking you, or has turrets that are shooting at you, you may kill it in self defense.
- You may not engage people outside the caves, or shoot into the caves. Combat must only occur within the confines of the caves.

Explanation: The caves are vast and I felt they would be alot more fun if there was some combat in them. If this is a widely disliked feature, we will open up discussions on potentially removing it. However for now, it is here to stay :).

Wyverns & Rock Elementals are not allowed to be used in PvP or Raiding on The Island or The Center.
They are not to be left on neutral either for self defense against other players.

Explanation: It would be immensely disbalanced if we allowed this. It would give people massive advantages and just be completely unfair.

Eventually this may extend to the Giga as well. We will see what people think on that, and perhaps might make a poll and a thread to discuss it.

The Following Creatures Are Banned From Cross-Server Transfers To Scorched Earth
This list is subject to more creatures being potentially added, but for right now this is what is currently banned.
Something to note, if one of these creatures is found, a warning will be given for it to be moved back. But should it not be moved within a timely fashion it will be killed off.
- Quetzal
- Giganotosaurus
- Pteranodon

Explanation: These creatures would absolutely destroy the balance of this map.
